In October 2013 a couple of Shuswap Rotarians traveled to Barani Primary School in Kenya with 40 used laptops that were donated by a kind BC institution. A classroom was wired for power and desks were assembled to support the student and teacher use of the laptops, along with a satellite internet link giving the school and village community access to the digital world. This provides both students and teachers with new perspective of the world that they could not normally afford. Ongoing support for the internet subscription means that 1200 pupils, 30 teachers, and countless villagers can accel in connecting with and understanding the world. Your support is very much appreciated.
